2 Petitions against neonicotinoid pesticides

Neonicotinoids are a class of pesticides still widely used in the UK yet in recent years many other European countries have severely restricted their use. There are currently 2 campaigns in the UK that I know of trying to address this issue – Save the Honey Bee, run by Soil Association and Plan Bee from the Co-op.

On the Soil Association website you’ll find pages with all sorts of useful information including a page (here) listing commonly used chemicals containing neonicotinoids and ‘Why neonicotinoids are bad for bees‘ with general information and a link to their petition .

The Plan Bee webpages have a little less information but are worth a look (and, of course, it will do no harm to sign both petitions if you feel inclined).
