Sustainable Bungay’s Fifth Give and Take Day is now set for Saturday, April 21st, 2012 at the Community Centre!
For the first time we’ll also be hosting Richard Simpson’s free basic cycle maintenance sessions; they’ll run from 10am to 1pm.
If you haven’t been before, it’s a chance to bring along unwanted, usable items and also to take things that can be of use to you. Items may include furniture, clothes, books, household items, sports and garden equipment… almost any unwanted item (currently not electrical items, but this may change if a qualified PAT tester is able to help). As in previous years, there will be a collection round available the day before for anyone unable to transport heavy items.
We’re also hoping to show some short (ten minute) films about waste and recycling and provide displays with lots of information about the four Rs of consumption (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink) and how to get involved.
A small group has come together to organise the event – if you’d like to help us organise and / or volunteer on the day please do get in touch via our contact page
